On behalf of the School Counseling Department at Northview High School, WMCA would like to share the following message:

It is with unbelievably heavy hearts and great sadness, that the Northview High School Counseling Department is writing today to inform you of the death of our dear friend, colleague, confidant, and our North star, Dave Witucki. We will miss him dearly and I know he was a big part of many of your lives too.

There is preliminary discussion of a scholarship in Dave’s name through WMCA. No details yet, but look for more information to come if you are interested in giving. As you know, Dave loved his counseling colleagues from around the county and honored the work you did for your students. Dave was the long time treasurer of WMCA and when we reached out to current and past board members in order to pinpoint a time frame of his service, the consensus was he had been the treasurer “forever”. In reality, it was over 2 decades, sounds like forever to us. Be on the look out for more information regarding the scholarship.

Below are the arrangements to send our lovable Cubbie home. You’ll note the funeral time is educator friendly as his family wanted to be sure his school and counseling family could possibly attend. 

Thanks for all of your support. We have heard from a number of you and cherish the counselor community we all enjoy.
